Fans Want Merch!
Most NLL fans can not get good merchandise unless they go to games.

The Fanatics website still has Panther City and New York Riptide merchandise for sale (it's not even discounted). On top of that, the new Saskatchewan Rush logo has now been used for an entire season, but no sign of it on the site of the "official e-commerce provider" for the NLL.
As someone in my mentions put it, the NLL "would've had more effort put in if they signed ... with someone on Etsy."
On September 9th, the National Lacrosse League announced a partnership with Castore - a British supplier for a few overseas soccer and rugby teams along with select Formula 1 teams.
However, sports fans online have called Castore "the Fanatics of the UK."
Plain Horrible
On August 1st, German soccer club Bayer Leverkusen was reportedly "cutting ties" with Castore. Why? The manufacturer had not restocked the team's merch, leading fans to get mad. The team was losing out on a bit of money.

And it gets EVEN better: On December 3rd, Leinster Rugby issued an apology after the team logo was somehow missing on shirts sent out to fans.

Light in the Darkness
There is a sliver of hope. Despite the NLL signing a deal with the devil, the league clearly had some money from Castore. After all, the NLL Draft was sponsored by the apparel company.
National Lacrosse League commissioner Brett Frood bringing in any money at all based on what was left behind for him is impressive, but there's work to do.
Besides, NLL fans are used to being patient. One day the league will take off... One day.
