The Arkansas Razorbacks & Miami Hurricanes
Game Preview!
The Arkansas Razorbacks and the Miami Hurricanes meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Bank United Center. Here’s an Arkansas vs Miami prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Arkansas vs Miami pick.
The Arkansas Razorbacks Team Preview!
The Razorbacks have kicked off the year with a 5-2 record. They snagged wins against Lipscomb, Troy, Pacific, Little Rock, and MD Eastern Shore, but took a hit against Baylor. In their latest game, they faced another loss to Illinois. On Thursday, the Illini had the Razorbacks trailing 49-34 by halftime. Arkansas picked up the pace a bit after that, but still ended up losing 90-77. Adou Thiero led the team with 26 points and six rebounds in the loss.
The Miami Hurricanes Team Preview!
Over on the Hurricanes’ side, they won their first three games of the season over Fairleigh Dickinson, Binghamton and Coppin State. Miami has since lost four to Drake, Oklahoma State, VCU and Charleston Southern.
In the Charleston Southern game on Saturday, the Hurricanes trailed by eight points at halftime. Miami made a 42-38 run from there but couldn’t catch up in an 83-79 defeat. Tops in scoring was Brandon Johnson with 23 points and eight rebounds.
The Arkansas vs Miami Game Prediction!
The Pick: Arkansas -6 -110
I’m sticking with Arkansas. The Razorbacks couldn’t keep up with a strong Illinois team last time, even though they shot 48.3 percent from the floor. The real problems were their lukewarm 29.4 percent (5-of-17) from three-point range and a shaky 16-of-27 (59.3 percent) from the free-throw line. Letting the other team shoot 52.6 percent didn’t help either. Still, Arkansas has scored 77 or more points in four straight games and should do well here too. As for Miami, they lost to a struggling Charleston Southern team in their last game and didn’t look great doing it. The Canes got out-rebounded 35-29 (12-8 offensive) and allowed 50.8 percent shooting overall. It might be tough for Miami to keep up on Tuesday.
